New folks are always welcomed!

Choir - The choir provides music for worship services from September through May under the direction of Ken Bowser. Vada Jean Roof, organist, solicits volunteers to provide music for summer services between June and August. New members are always needed. The Choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 7 PM except in the Summer.

Covenant Groups - Following the Purpose Driven Life model and Word/Prayer/Share, groups meet at 7 PM on Thursday and 10 AM on Friday for Bible study, discussion and fellowship.

Food Bank Collection - A separate collection is taken on the 1st Sunday for the Redbank Valley Church Association Food Bank to provide assistance to area families and individuals. Food and groceries are donated or purchased from donated funds.

God’s Followers - This after-school program for children of the community in grades 2 to 6, is held on Mondays at 3- 4:15PM when school is in session during late September through May. Activities include Bible class, reading, games, crafts, singing and a snack. Children come directly from New Bethlehem/South Bethlehem Elementary School to participate in this successful program.

Grief or Divorced & Separated Support Groups meet as needed.

Nursery Care is available for infants to age 6. Children may remain in nursery or church for the service, or leave after the children’s sermon through the front doors at the far left of the sanctuary on the Penn St. side, to go to the nursery downstairs on the stage. The nursery is staffed by volunteer members with childcare experience.

Penn & Wood Youth Group - meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM under the direction of Deanna Gould. Some other special activities are scheduled by agreement.

Prayer Chain Ministry & Morning Prayers - provides prayer for special needs of the congregation and community. Please contact the Pastor or the co-chairpersons for a prayer request or fill out a pew card and leave it in the offering plate. There is also a time of prayer every Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM in the sanctuary for those in need of prayer.

Presbyterian Women meet on the 2nd Thursday at 10:30 AM for Bible study, fellowship and special events. Pumpkin Patch is held in odd years as a fundraiser for church and mission projects and includes sale of pumpkins, apples, delicious baked goods and lunch, a flea market and children's activities. The Presbyterian Women are involved in other activities through the year.

Spuds and Undies Sunday - Members are asked each Fall to contribute 5 - 10 pounds of potatoes and a package of new underwear or other items for men, women or children. Members purchase their own size or a different size so that a variety is obtained. Donated items are delivered to Arcadia, a rural community in Western PA that needs and greatly appreciates the donations.

Stone Soup - A potluck luncheon, sponsored by the Worship Committee, is held once each year usually in connection with decoration for Christmas and the hanging of the greens before Advent. Members bring a can of tomato-based soup in sufficient quantity to feed their own family. The soups are then expertly combined for lunch after the service.

Sundae Sunday – The Deacons welcome Spring each year with a light lunch for the congregation and the fixings to make your own sundaes following the worship service.

Wonderful Wednesday – Fellowship starts with a snack at 6 PM, followed by Bible study, discussion and other activities.
